Ian Mercieca Bons
MBA (Leic), MCMI
Ian Mercieca Bons is the founder of MB Advisory. His professional background combines corporate management, operational leadership, business ownership and independent advisory work.
He spent more than a decade with an international telecommunications company, progressing through commercial and management roles across corporate sales, customer service and retail operations. He led sizeable teams, managed outsourcing and oversaw retail transformation, with a focus on strengthening commercial performance, improving customer service and increasing operational efficiency.
Ian later co-founded a security and automation company, where he served as a shareholder and director for ten years. He helped build and grow the business, with responsibility for strategic direction, sales, marketing, operations and financial management. This experience gave him a business owner’s perspective on driving growth, maintaining financial discipline and managing the day-to-day demands of running a business.
After selling his shareholding, Ian established MB Advisory to apply this combined experience in supporting organisations with management systems, business improvement, project delivery, digital transformation and professional training.
Ian holds a Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Malta and an MBA, specialising in e-commerce, from the University of Leicester. He is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and the Digital Marketing Institute and serves as a Board Member of Beating Hearts Malta.
